Becoming a member
AVPN is a membership network made up of organisations that are deploying financial, human and intellectual resources to increase social impact in Asia. This includes:
Foundation/Trust
Non-profit organisations that fund social causes. Rather than running their own activities, trusts and foundations achieve their objectives by giving money to SPOs which use the money to run their activities.
Family Office
Wealth management advisory or establishment for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals.
Corporate/Financial Institution
Mainstream company that invests directly in social impact through CSR or through establishing a corporate foundation.
Impact Fund
A fund that makes investments made to SEs and businesses with a sustainability focus, with the intention to generate social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.
Government Related
Government related members include statutory boards, government organisations and associations, and large international organisations that provide governments a platform to cooperate.
International Non-Governmental Organisation
International NGOs that provide funding for local NGOs to deepen their impact.
University/Research
Universities, academies, research institutes and think tanks that are engaged in the social economy.
Accelerator/Incubator
Organisations that provide facilities, expertise and other forms of non-monetary support to nurture young enterprises and entrepreneurs.
Intermediary
Intermediaries help bridge between investors and investees to help with deal sourcing, management and measurement, and often provide some capacity building for the investee organisations.
Private Equity/Venture Capital
Private equity and venture capital firms engage in direct investments with privately held companies ranging from startups to mature companies.
Service Provider
Service providers are businesses and nonprofits that provide support services to the social investment ecosystem such as consulting, legal support and talent management.
Network
Online and offline organisations that bring diverse stakeholders together.

How It works
Our Membership Cycle
Our membership cycle runs on a calendar year beginning 1st January and ending 31st December. From January-May, new members will be billed on a pro-rated basis until 31st December of that same year. From June-December new members will be billed until 31st December of the following year (19 months in June, 18 months in July etc.)

- Foundations/trusts, Family offices, Government entities, Impact funds, Incubators, Accelerators, Intermediaries, Private equity, Venture capital firms, Service providers, Corporations, Banks, Financial institutions
Membership Discount
- Applicants are eligible to be considered for a reduced annual contribution if they are from a lower GDP-per-capita country based on the country (as of the 2018 listing). Please contact membership@avpn.asia to know if your organisation is eligible for a reduced annual contribution
- AVPN Members will receive a 10% discount if pre-paying for 3 years of membership
- Members of the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) are eligible for a 10% discount on membership
- AVPN members receive a free subscription to the Alliance Magazine
- GIIN discounts are only eligible for Regional and General memberships from full contribution countries. University memberships and memberships from a reduced contribution country are not eligible to claim the GIIN discount.
